This seems a tad short sighted. An addiction can arise from many things, if not indulged in moderation. But, what this neglects to observe is the mental health and wellness benefits giving yourself the self-care that relaxing with games can give you. I just recently wrote about how life is so deeply focused on productivity, and growing even more so, and this is only driving people deeper into unhealthy habits and poor mental wellness. Gaming, in moderation of course, can combat this.
